The fine folk at Purple approached us with a clear brief; to visualize the feels you feel from laying on their proprietary Purple Grid mattress and pillow tech. The resulting campaign was a series of ultra-tactile ‘no-stress tests’ to convey the product's unique properties and provide the viewer with a sense of comfort.
Working as part of the team at ManvsMachine LA, I helped with styleframing and conceptual development before pushing into lookdev for the various hero products, environments and assets throughout the film. Using data acquired from in-house scanning, in tandem with procedural tools such as Substance Designer, I developed a hybrid approach to material development that allowed for fidelity and flexibility with product-specific surfaces. I also composed many of the key environments, and lit and textured many shots throughout the film.
